A new, free online guided to college searches! WhatWillTheyLearn.com

A new, free online guided to college searches! WhatWillTheyLearn.com focuses on education provided at universities across America—not reputation. And in looking at what students will learn, it answers a question none of the other college guides and rankings even raise. It also shows you what each college costs and what its graduation rate is. It is published as a public service by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni, an independent non-profit in Washington, D.C.
The website will show you some unsettling truths. For instance, only a tiny minority of the universities we grade require broad courses in
U.S. history or government or economics, and a surprising number do not require college-level math or science. Many of these same institutions charge $30,000 or more per year in tuition and fees. By contrast, public institutions such as Brooklyn College and the University of Arkansas (which charge in the neighborhood of $6,000 for in-state students) do a much better job.

A new, free online college guide called WHAT WILL THEY LEARN?

As its name indicates, WhatWillTheyLearn.com focuses on education provided at universities across America—not reputation.

For instance, only a tiny minority of the universities we grade require broad courses in U.S. history or government or economics, and a surprising number do not require college-level math or science. Many of these same institutions charge $30,000 or more per year in tuition and fees. By contrast, public institutions such as Brooklyn College and the University of Arkansas (which charge in the neighborhood of $6,000 for in-state students) do a much better job.

visit WhatWillTheyLearn.com and to encourage your students and their parents to take a look in the course of their college searches.
