- For the past 30 years, the University of Mississippi has been bringing academically gifted high school juniors and some sophomores (rising juniors and seniors) to its beautiful campus for a unique summer experience.
- SCHS students live in an Ole Miss residence hall, eat at one of the campus dining locations, and enroll in 3 to 7 hours of college credit coursework (transferrable to any accredited college or university)
- In addition to the head start on college coursework, students participate in exploring sessions (to explore academic and career interests as well as to learn what to expect in the college application/selection process) and are mentored by UM students. Moreover, the SCHS experience builds long-lasting relationships between peers in the program.
