Wendy's High School Heisman

JUNIORS APPLY NOW!!!

For the past 16 years, Wendy's Restaurants have teamed up with the Heisman Memorial Trophy committee to create the Wendy's High School Heisman Award. The award honors both male and female high school students who excel in academics, athletics and student leadership.

This year, they are opening up applications early- and want to hear from ALL student-athletes who work hard, are dedicated and have become role models for the school's underclassmen.

Ardmore can have as many applicants as meet the eligibility criteria. Any eligible student can register and begin the application process at www.wendysheisman.com

The program is looking for both male and female students who exhibit excellence in the classroom, on the field, and within their communities. Eligibility for application is limited exclusively to men and women entering their senior year of high school in the 2010-11 academic year who have at least a "B" average and participate in at least one school-sponsored sport.

Completed applications are due by Oct. 3, 2010. The online application must be completed by the student no later than 5:00 pm, central time. Each student applicant must have their online application reviews and confirmed online by a school representative.

Once the competition has commenced, you can track your applicants' progress online. All completed and reviewed applicants submitted from Ardmore will be evaluated, and one make and one female will be named School Winners in late October. State Finalists will be names in late November and will be invited to New York City for Heisman Weekend activities, including the Wendy's High School Heisman Award Banquet.
